Water sports FAQs

Do my wakeboard bindings need to come from the same company as my wakeboard?

No. The screw holes should match up regardless of whether the manufacturers vary. If the screws that come with the bindings are too long, a washer can provide a tighter fit.

Can I use my wakeboard equipment for waterskiing or vice versa?

Life vests, wet suits, and dry suits do not need to be specific to the sport. Wakeboard handles are made wider than water skis to allow for ease with tricks which may affect your performance. Also, ski pylons are not as secure as wakeboard towers and do not provide the same height. This limits your wakeboarding abilities. Wakeboard rope should be stiffer to enhance flips and spins, while water skiing rope should be slightly elastic so that it gives as the water skier turns and changes speeds.

If my surf board has a ding, can I use wax as a quick fix?

No, the wax will only gunk up the dent and make it things messier for repairing.
